Light the end of the bundle and extinguish the flame once it ignites. The White Sage will smolder releasing its powerful smoke. Direct your mind and the smoke towards your body, another person, place of ceremony, or the object you would like to cleanse to purify the energy that is present. Never blow the smoke. A feather can be helpful for moving the smoke around the desired object. It is important to keep your mind focused throughout the entire process.
